A contact wants a fee to fix a COME download
Before paying a contact who claims to fix a download, verify the service, purpose and terms. A technical error does not confirm that a fee is required.
Identify the proposed action
Ask what the payment supposedly changes: access to a service, a support product or something else. Do not treat a vague “activation” request as an explanation. Compare the request with the current service's own published process.
Protect sensitive access
A download diagnosis does not require giving a stranger your banking PIN, OTP or account password. Avoid installing remote-control tools at an unsolicited contact's request. A small proposed fee does not make the access request harmless.
Use the recognised route
Return to the service's displayed help interface and report the exact download stage. If a legitimate charge exists, review its actual recipient and conditions there. Do not guess by transferring money to see whether the file appears.
A useful next step
Resolve the identity and purpose of the request before making any payment decision.
